For 26 years, the International Meeting on Gender Statistics (EIEG) has been a leading forum for countries in Latin America and the Caribbean—and beyond—strengthening collaboration among national statistical offices, national mechanisms for the advancement of women, international organisations, civil society organisations and academic experts. It promotes the production and use of gender statistics through knowledge sharing and transfer.
The 27th edition will address issues related to care from the perspective of statistics and information systems. The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), together with the Secretariat for Women (Mujeres) of Mexico, the Division for Gender Affairs of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), are joining forces to organise the 27th International Meeting on Gender Statistics.
