Care cities offer an opportunity to promote women’s empowerment and collective organising and, through citizen participation, move towards a new model of social care organisation that meets the needs of all people, especially children, older adults and people with disabilities. This model recognises both the rights of those who provide care, the majority of whom are women, and their fundamental contribution to the community. Within this framework, Acción Ciudadana por los Derechos Humanos proposes developing a radio programme with a streaming component on care cities, as well as organising a public-space activity in Argentina.
