Routes of Care: Building Caring Cities from the Territories

Mexico City currently has eight new UTOPÍAS, in addition to the 16 already operating in Iztapalapa. In this context, the proposal is to hold a forum to launch the Routes of Care in Mexico City, marking the beginning of a series of activities across the different UTOPÍA sites.

The proposal seeks to create spaces for gathering and reflection at each site, focusing on the meaning and role of care in everyday life. These activities will take place in the context of the recent enactment of the Mexico City Care System Law, which recognizes care as a right.

These reflections will be grounded in feminist and rights-based perspectives, recognizing that the problem is the unequal distribution and its historical assignment to women as a natural and private responsibility.
